Due to the revision of Takayama City’s ordinance, an accommodation tax will be applied starting October 1, 2025.
Accommodation Tax (per person, per night, excluding tax):
- Less than JPY 10,000 → JPY 100
- JPY 10,000 or more but less than JPY 30,000 → JPY 200
- JPY 30,000 or more → JPY 300
Please note:
- The accommodation tax is not included in the room rate displayed at the time of booking.
- The tax will be collected separately at check-in.
- Even if your reservation was made before October 1, 2025, the tax will apply for stays on or after this date.
In addition, a bath tax will also be collected separately on-site starting October 1, 2025, in the same manner as the accommodation tax.
- Applicable to guests aged 12 and over: JPY 150 per person per day (for a one-night stay, one day’s tax applies).
- For stays on or before September 30, 2025, the bath tax is already included in the room rate.
From October 1, 2025 onward, both the accommodation tax and bath tax will be collected separately on the day of your stay.
